I happen to be a BIG fan of the show "The Next Food Network Star" so when Kelsey Nixon (a Utah girl) was on, I was intrigued even more. I mean, I've got to support! Well, she didn't win and that's okay. 'Cause now she has her own show on the new Cooking Channel TV network. You know what!? I LOVE her new show, too! It's full of super easy, basic tips that can be applied to so many different recipes. Brilliant! In one show, she baked this delicious looking pear tart. I'm not an apple pie fan, so it surprised me that this would look good, but it did. AND it tasted even BETTER! Buttery, flaky puff pastry crust enveloped slightly cinnamon, slightly sweet, all-tender baked pears. The final topping, a light drizzle of warm honey and I topped with some lightly sweetened heavy whipped cream. YUM! We all wanted seconds. The BEST part? I threw this amazing goodness together in less than 20 minutes (minus baking)! UH-Mazing!
